Steve came to Henderson this morning and met me at my parents house out at the lake. He wants hill training so I mapped out a route with the 3 roads with the biggest hills I know around here. One of them being mountain road that Tim has climbed a few times on his long rides. We headed out about 10am for 64 miles. A few stopes along the way for bathroom and water. At one stop we met 4 riders with bikes like Tim's touring bike and louder down with gear. They had peddled from Raleigh yesterday to Kerr lake to camp over night and they were headed back. One of the older guys said back in 1987 he qualified for some distance rise over in Europe. I'm sure Tim knows why he is talking about but he said he qualified by riding a 200, 400, 800 and I think 1200k. Something like that. Anyway it was cool to see those 3 guys and lady. Steve did well on the ride. There are some pretty good hills up this way. Temps were great at the start all the way to the finish. Great day on the bike. DC Sent from my iPhone
