Had to head out solo this afternoon. Had another breakdown this morning on the
farm. Didn't get it fix in time to make it by 2. Hate I missed it.

Was a beautiful December day to be on the bike. Couldn't give this afternoon
up.

A strong group of 11 left DD headed to Saratoga via elm city. Welcomed John
Boyette, DC and Turbo broke him in this morning with a 40 plus at 21+ avg.. Doc
sets the pace with a 20 mph pull out down w. Nash. At elm city the streets are
blocked, seems we were the prelude to the Christmas parade. Like a stage race
people lining the street waving and cheering. After a brief rest in Saratoga
group picks up a tailwind. Pace starts to quicken, Lucas hammers us down hwy
42, big Wally pulls all,the way from hwy 42 to Dunn's crossroads on LCR, pace
in the mid 20's. Birdman gives lead out on second lake Wilson hill, Lucas
takes the jersey with John in hot pursuit. We get back to DD and Clint who
hasn't ridden in a couple of months said when we turned on lake Wilson he
thought " I knew something was up".
December 9th, temps in the low 70's, 42 miles, 20.6 average.
Great day to be on the bike.
Birdman.
