In that case we should just smooth over the sharp edges on HEAD and do a
real release and forget about backporting.  With the addition of the

think we'd be close, since in this context we're not talking about the

Am I correct in understanding that the HEAD code is still for the
current cygwin and not for the upcoming 1.7, or will setup.exe
be comaptible with both?
