One last thing, executables in usr/bin/ keep the *.sh extension. Is that correct? Or should I replace dobin with newbin in *.cygport?
Leave the .sh extension. The examples on the upstream homepage say 'makeself.sh' and the name 'makeself-header.sh' is hardcoded into the former.
