I've compiled minicom for Cygwin for my own use. I'm intending to package it, but there is a bug that stumps my ability to debug: Opening the help screen makes minicom exit, which kind of defeats the purpose. If you press any key before the help screen is fully open, minicom continues to run and even executes any function associated with that key (if not, the key gets sent to the serial line). It only happens with the help screen. The exit screen toggles between the two choices all by itself, but you can still use it when pressing enter at the right time. I've tried to run an strace, but I see no error. It looks like some synchronisation inside minicom doesn't work correctly, but I don't know where to look.
