Hmm... well since I've never tried to run full gnome2 on my windows machine, I don't know about this gnome-settings-daemon. Does gconfd start though?

On my Debian box I run gnome 2.14. Besides of gconfd2 there is process called /usr/lib/control-center/gnome-settings-daemon I can not find any such file neither in control-center nor in control-center-2 packages. I have an impression, that Yakow forgot something ... I can not find anything similar any where.
