I'll bet you have a version mismatch between the distro and Ports.  You
need to have the following:

glib2-2.14.x
atk-1.20.x
pango-1.18.x
gtk2-x11-2.12.x
python-2.5.1-3
python-gobject2-2.14.x
python-gtk2-2.12.x

If you have older versions of some or all of the above, that's the
problem.  You must follow these directions exactly in order to use Ports
on top of the distro:
