I'm neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet. Are you running an X server? Which one? Is your DISPLAY variable properly set? Do you have the current versions of GNOME libraries from Ports, or the obsolete ones from the distro? Does cygcheck show anything missing? > And how to start the gnome desktop?
