Hi!
I've tried to compile a simple gnome application under cygwin. The
installation steps were:
- install a standard cygwin instance from a mirror. (no additional
packages, just the base system)
- run setup.exe -X, select download only, add the cygwinports mirror.
both the cygwin and cygwinports mirrors are selected
- the following packages are installed:
libgnomemm26-devel
libgnomeuimm26-devel
libglademm24-devel
automake
gcc-g++
libtool
intltool
gettext-devel
make
pkg-config
- download the packages, rerun setup.exe (without -X), and install from
local dir.
after it, the ./configure script for my program say no pangocairo
package was found, needed by pangomm.
I've found another thread in this list with the same problem, saying
upgrade my packages from the cygwinports repo. So I run setup.exe -X,
download only, disabled the cygwin repo, only cygwinports selected in
the list. went through the installation steps, selecting no additional
packages. rerun setup.exe, install from local dir, then it really
upgraded the packages, but also removed some.
after it, ./configure says libart-1.0 missing...
did someone faced this problem before? or i've done some mistake?
Thanks for advance:
Imre Horvath
