Actually, rarian provides a drop-in replacement for scrollkeeper; no
"fiddling" is required.

Due to the number of packages involved, I generally do not jump to the
next release cycle (IOW 2.22->2.24) until the second point release (e.g.
2.24.2).  I just began GNOME 2.24 (incl. glib-2.18 and gtk-2.14) this
week; you can monitor progress in SVN on CIA.vc.  But until the next
upload, yes, you may need to use 2.22 or wait for 2.24.
