I've been using cygwin and it's X11 package for years. I stumbled on
cygwin ports by accident and wanted to install gedit and nautilus but am
having problems. I followed the installation steps but when done with
the last step - install from local directory - nothing gets installed in
/usr/bin and if I enter gedit or nautilus I get "command not found". If
I examine the packages list, the packages show up as installed. Also,
cygcheck -c shows both nautilus and gedit as installed and ok.

$ cygcheck -c gedit nautilus
Cygwin Package Information
Package              Version        Status
gedit                2.24.3-1       OK
nautilus             2.24.2-1       OK

What did I do wrong and how do I fix it? TIA
