As long as you can ping 127.0.0.1 with success there should not be any problems for the xserver to talk to the clients?? (Or the other way around) Try installing NETBeui, this solves some problems of Windows 2000 unloading the TCP/IP stack when not connected. Are you trying to run it on the computer disconnected or connected to the network? /Andy
