1) To help on trouble shooting, please cygcheck -s -v -r -h > cygcheck_output.txt and send us the result. See http://cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/using-utils.html#cygcheck 2) I guess that you installed cygwin in text mode what does "mount" report ?
