Palm Computing, Inc. and Product Quality Partners, Inc., the exclusive

  10. Ericsson offers wireless data developer support to Palm developers

The GPRS Applications Alliance (GAA) is a partnering and support
initiative fully funded by Ericsson that is aimed at supporting the rapid
introduction of Mobile Internet applications for GPRS. GPRS is a packet
data system for GSM that will be commercially deployed in over 140
countries. The GAA is committed to expanding knowledge of the business
opportunities offered by GPRS technologies. Under the auspices of the
GAA, Ericsson is providing the GPRS applications industry easy access to
a wide range of services. These include training, product verification,
consulting and other information. All of these services will make
developers, consultants, and other relevant parties more competitive in
the GPRS environment.

Companies interested in GPRS are invited to become members of the GPRS
Applications Alliance. The GAA enables members to work together with
Ericsson to enhance and improve the inter-operability and compatibility
of GPRS Applications. Ericsson is providing the GAA with two test and
verification labs/centers for use by both customers and members. By
working with Ericsson, members will be able to integrate a tested,
complete solution, drastically reducing time to market. The GAA aims to
stimulate market interest, to ensure that high-quality applications are
available, to create a marketplace for the GPRS application industry and
support operators both in their choice of GPRS application vendors and
support in development of their business ideas.

Want to learn more about the Mobile Internet and how to help your company
prepare for it? Visit http://www.gprsworld.com for more information about
