New York Community Bancorp has been hit with a class action by an investor
who claims the bank failed to disclose that it had a deteriorating book of
loans which would, in turn, cause major losses and force it to cut its
quarterly dividend to preserve capital, following its acquisition of assets
from the now-defunct Signature Bank.
