Long before so called "deregulation", California had the lowest power
consumption per head, and per unit of GNP, in the US, and close to the
highest power prices in the US. This was result of "Green" regulatory
policies that sought to restrain power consumption and power production.
Unsurprisingly, those policies were more successul in restraining
production than consumption.
The primary cause of the current crisis is Green theology and Gaia worship.
