yes and no. they actually own only minor parts of the volume of music
created today. they DO own most of the volume of music SOLD today.
too-blatent attempts at realizing the usual monopoly gains might turn

that's what I was getting at: piracy as a form of conversion to the
"old" (and more common) format.

worst. as I've written on my DeCSS pages: we're better of without them

I hope they make some panic-driven stupid thing. it might be their last
chance to learn anything before evolution makes them roadkill. :)
