Which precludes GnuPG's use in a sizable number of products. I much prefer
BSD-style licenses. GNU is a paternalistic "Open Source" license. If you
want to give it away, then give it away.

Isn't GnuPG developed outside the US? In that case, why would they exclude
RSA support? Either way, RSA support presumably won't be missing for long.
