They exclude RSA support because the FSF are opposed to patented
alogorithms on ideological grounds rather than for any practical
reasons.

Although the RSA patent will expire there will still be issues with the
IDEA necessary for PGP2 support.

RSA or IDEA support is on the GPG site anyway.
