CTA buses in Chicago have had cameras appearing for quite some time now. Initially the buses had two cameras, one located at the front aimed towards the rear and one at the rear aimed towards the front. Newer installations have five cameras. Two at the front, one pointed at the front door and one pointed at the rear of the bus. Two at the middle of the bus, one pointed toward the rear of the bus and the other at the rear door. A fifth camera is installed at the rear of the bus pointed towards the front of the bus. In addition, there are signs posted throughout the bus mentioning that recording may be occurring. It is not clear whether any of these cameras are real, and if so, where the recording device is located that they are attached to. Incidentally, the CTA's trains do not appear to have either cameras or notices. blair.
