I did my patriotic best today and rang Owen down at the NATSEC
Bunker.Before I told him my tale of terrorist woe I though I better take
the National tempeRATure.'Whats the state of alert today,old bean?" I
asked.Owen replied that he wasn't quite sure and he had to go away and
check,he did say that he though it might be heightened and that it had been
that way since Bali but it is best to doublecheck these things as you never
never know.(Even the PM and acting PM were not on the same page yesterday
as I told youse.AU is a bit of like Kylies bottom at times...medium in
parts and High in parts.)
Owen came back in a flash with the confirmation that it was 'heightened'
indeed and that translated as 'medium' as well and all.
I'd almost forgotten why I rang when the horrid memories flooded back.It
was only a year ago now but it seemed like yesterday when those two
obviously fake AFP officers claiming to be from the FBI ruined my
