Comment about non-Python parts of language: As I've mentioned I've got serious doubts about the current buffer syntax (http://wiki.cython.org/enhancements/buffersyntax). Options: a) Do not change the syntax b) Add new one, but do not deprecate the current one c) Add new one and do deprecate the current one My preferred solution is c), but to have a really long deprecation cycle (say two years). Of course, as the new syntax isn't even voted on yet, I guess the only right answer here can be that this should not impact inclusion of Cython into stdlib in anyway. The question is whether that should spur me into further working on the syntax and getting it voted for and implemented sooner rather than later as well. Anyway, I'm +1 to an inclusion in stdlib around 0.12. -- Dag Sverre _______________________________________________ Cython-dev mailing list [email protected] http://codespeak.net/mailman/listinfo/cython-dev
