Hello, all!

My grandmother Frieda Kuczynski (née Teitler) was a Czernowitz Jewish resident. I have spent the past ten years working on a novel based on her teenage years during the Holocaust. The wonderful and luminous writer Ruth Glasberg Gold has read an early draft, helping me tremendously. This book is deeply researched and truly the book of my heart.

So far, it’s earned three starred reviews, including from Booklist and Kirkus. It will be published on October 10th by HarperCollins. Here’s a link to the description:

I hope you will all consider reading my book. Please feel free to write to me!

All My Best,

Elana
