The new Ubuntu release only has the old kinterbasdb version, and in order to compile the source I need to install Firebird first, which is more of a pain than I have time for right now. The Windows installer runs fine, but then I get complaints about 'fbclient.dll' not being installed. I copied that DLL to both the kinterbasdb directory and Windows system directory, and I still get errors.
I think that the error has to do with the changes made recently to reduce the use of __getattr__ to magically manage attributes. I'll try digging into this a little more, but to answer your question, yes! It absolutely must be fixed for 0.7.
