Point taken. This is my first go with wiki markup so I don't know
what people use. My argument was that everyone knows Plain Text and
HTML is easy to do in a WYSIWYG, but alot of people have never heard
of the other options. I am for getting rid of LaTeX, even though I
use it extensively, because I can compile into html anyway. A wiki
should provide the shortest barrier to entry for someone wanting to
add content. However, if they want to edit a page marked up in
MoinMoin, then they must go out an learn MoinMoin markup to keep the
style consistent. So, if we limit to PT, html, and one other option,
we force people to learn a consistent markup style but there are no
problems when going to edit a page.
