Personally I agree with staying away from the GPL as much as possible. It leads to wider adoption because people developing commercial applications can use dabo. However, I am inclined to think that if MySQL ever went after Dabo they would attempt to argue that since Dabo links to MySQL it should be GPL'd.......Wouldn't surprise me in the least.
