My ideas involve a complete redesign, so don't wait for them to materialize.
Whatever
you can get working is what you should do.
Maybe this is a good time for such a complete redesign.
Take all the following with a 'very large grain of salt' as the level of
programming used in the Dabo framework is way over my head.
- Robin did the same with Phoenix
- supporting Py3 and Py2 looks not that easy, at least I am still not
getting anywhere after I looked at all kind of posts about 'import'
stackoverflow, in the Py3 doc and on http://python3porting.com
- I believe this 'exec("from %s import *" % mods[typ], globals())' in
'ui.__init__' is no longer supported in Py3, it will throw
"SyntaxWarning: import * only allowed at module level" as per
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12172791/changes-in-import-statement-python3
What about considering to move a way from the 'run time selection of ui
kit' to an 'install time selection of ui kit'?
You can start to shoot or kick but I am sitting behind a very thick wall:-)
