Yeah, it does seem odd. I've played with it just a bit, and the
results are sorta sane, but not the way I would have done it. It
starts with the center point and the start point, using that distance
as the radius, and draws a counter-clockwise arc until the closing
segment would intersect the end point.

I think it would need: center point, radius, start angle, end angle.
Does that make sense?
