If you'd rather not go the SVN route, we should have 0.9 released

Probably not. I just tried running it with the latest and greatest,
and while the error you got has been fixed, I got a different one due
to recent changes to the common property sheet used by several of the
visual tools. So I guess that the best answer I can give you right now
is to create your menus in code.

On Windows, TortoiseSVN is the way to go.
