I hunted down what I think is the problem; at the very least, it
enables me to open the cdxml file you sent me. Are you using Subversion or
Web Update to update your copy of Dabo? If it is the latter, let me know and
I can send you a patch to test, since there are too many untested changes
for me to push a new Web Update release.

One thing I noticed was that this cdxml wasn't for a form, but for a
custom component. Was that your intention? Or did you use the 'Save as
Class' menu item? I can see how that menu prompt might be confusing,
especially for a non-native English speaker. I'll have to think about a
better wording for it.

I have never used Subversion and Web Update (I am even not familiar with
them).
I first installed Dabo about 10 days before:
 - downloaded the dabo-09.02-win.zip from page http://dabodev.com/download.
 - extracted the pack then used the setup.py install method.

Now Dabo is located in the "site-packages" folder inside Python26.
(Python/Lib/site-packages/dabo)

When I created the file (I called 'Form' in my previous letters), I selected
'Panel' from the starting Menu of the Class Designer (according to tutorial
instructions).
(there is a drop-down menu 'Select the class to create').
So it seems that I did not create a 'Form' but a 'Panel' instead.
(I don't know what the difference is at this stage of my Dabo studies.)

When I saved my creation I did not chose 'Save as Class' but I just saved
the file (Ctrs-S).
May be my procedure was not correct.
