FYI I've upgraded to wxPython 2.8.12.0 without issue. I'll try to upgrade my Python to 2.7.x by summer, but it is slow-going for me because of potential incompatibility with lots of libraries I rely on, and because I need to move all three platforms forward in lockstep. It seems like every time I upgrade Python, something breaks, usually in application distribution/deployment, which is already a hairy beast. Regarding 2.7 problems, we could assign a single ticket to that and modify the description of the ticket (like a wiki) when a new problem is found. We could make comments to note revisions where each problem is fixed. We could draw a line through each issue (there's a tag for that but can't remember at the moment) in the description as the issues get fixed. When everything is fixed we could close the ticket.
