Hello! Yes, I am a complete newbie coming over from the Fox side. I thought Dabo would be a good choice to work with Python. It's been a trying experience to say the least. I've come to the point where I'm sure I've done something wrong either with the install or how I'm trying to start the program.
My current problem is this: I finally installed Dabo by putting a Dabo.pth file in Python's site-packages folder. Now I double click on the ClassDesigner.py in the IDE folder of my Dabo installation and up comes the "Open/Create Class" dialogue. Great! I click "Open Saved Class" and get my little form. At this point I right click in the middle of the form and get a popup menu that looks something like this: dMenuItem -------------------------- Sizers > Data Controls > Display Controls > Interactive Controls > and so on. After "Custom Classes >" the remaining 5 items are all "dMenuItem". Opening any of the submenus shows a list of all "dMenuItem". It seems pretty clear to me the menus are not populating. I'm not sure what I've done but any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bill _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/dabo-users Searchable Archives: http://leafe.com/archives/search/dabo-users This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/[email protected]
