Generally, .pth files should consist of the path to the folder which
contains the package. How did you come up with the two levels of 'dabo-0.9.9'?
If I download the windows zip file and unzip it I get:
{starting directory}\dabo-0.9.9\dabo
This would then require a .pth file that reads: "{starting
directory}\dabo-0.9.9\"
