Bava Metzia 078: Women on rented donkeys

D. Abraham asked:

On page 79:, the gmara says that if a donkey was hired for a man, a
woman should not ride it.
But in the opposite case, if it was hired for a woman, a man may ride
on the donkey.
The Poskim give the reason that a woman is more heavy.
But reality shows the opposite. On the average, men weigh more.
can we give a different reason - the quality of a woman driver?

----------------------------------------------
The Kollel replies:

Since women ride side-saddle, they weigh down more on the donkey (requiring
the donkey to exert more effort in balancing, moving, etc.).
