A Reflection on Today's Scripture:

How many times have you observed after the rain has stopped, a most
beautiful rainbow across the sky? I wonder if you ever relate that
magnificent sight with one of God's promises being fulfilled.

God the creator of all that is, destroyed everything in Noah's time,
except for Noah and his family and two of every animal and creature
that lived. This happened because of the unfaithfulness of His
people.

He blessed Noah and his family and told him to be fruitful and
multiply. His rainbow in the sky was the sign of the covenant he made
with Noah. Noah had to know, that from heaven the Lord look's down on
the earth, and that he and his family had to start over again.

Are we convinced that the Lord's hand is upon us always and without
His hand there -- we would cease to exist? How would you answer
Jesus' question: "Who do you say that I am"? Could you say Creator,
Redeemer, Perfect Sacrifice, God of Mercy, God of love, Maker of a
covenant, the sign that still can be seen today in the skies after
thousands of years?
How do we call Him?

Heavenly Father,
You placed your rainbow in the sky for all to see.
Guide us and guard us along the right paths.
In our needy times Lord, MARANATHA! (Come Lord Jesus!)
