A Reflection on Today's Scripture:
The Lord remembers his covenant forever!
That covenant of so long ago rings loudly in our ears as we ponder
the words of our Father, that He will be their God, their God forever
- the words of a faithful loving Father. But, what about our end of
the covenant? Yahweh tells us that we must keep the covenant
throughout the ages.
Lent is in the fifth week already. Time does slip away from us so
quickly. With our God, it is never too late to turn to Him, to ask
for the graces we need to rid ourselves of all things that are not of
Him. Is there someone in your life-experience who needs forgiveness,
who needs to be set free by your words: "I forgive you!"
Is your life peaceful? Or are you anxious and afraid? Fears and
anxiety are things that paralyze us and keep us from the fullness of
God's life in us. Jesus promised: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I
give to you" (John 14:27)
If you're not experiencing the Peace of Christ (even in the midst of
chaos), come before the Lord begging Him to take from you all those
barriers to His holy gift. Let these remaining days of Lent bring you
closer to our Resurrected Savior, closer than ever before.
May the Peace of Our God fill you to overflowing;
May the Peace of God surround you
and Allow you to bring peace wherever you go
And to whomever you meet! Amen
