A Reflection on Today's Scripture:

If we would only be able to avoid being faced with opposition when spreading
the Word of God, it would surely make life a lot easier. One might think:
"What real purpose does it really make?" It is like the refiner's fire,
without enough heat to burn away the impurities, you have poor results. When
we're faced with opposition as Paul was, our fidelity to our Christian
belief is proven.

In John's Gospel, Jesus himself says that when we see and hear Him, we are
also hearing and seeing the Father. Jesus also teaches us that when we live
our lives as He has taught, others will see Jesus working through us. In
living by the Word of God, we too, enflesh God Himself in our own time here
on earth. So today, whether at work or at home, take one minute to quiet
your mind and breathe in the Spirit that gives life, and breathe out any
impurities that may hold you back from a full embrace with Jesus the Lord.
