A Reflection on Today's Scripture:
How easy it is to stray from Jesus! The world is full of distractions
and preoccupations which can obscure our path and delay our communion
with Jesus. In our humanity we can be easily led down paths which do
not reflect the example of Jesus but at these time we are oblivious
to our folly and rarely think of the consequences of our actions. It
is because of our spiritual blindness, that we need to place Jesus in
the first place in our lives every morning before we start the day.
It is only through prayer, that we are given the grace to discern
what leads to salvation and what leads to destruction.
Today, let us renew our pledge to place Jesus first and foremost in
our lives. It is only by doing this that we can achieve our true
potential as sons and daughters of Christ.
Amen.
