A Reflection on Today's Scripture:

What a rich treasure of thoughts for meditation today! Saint Paul
urges the Corinthians to always give a total "Yes" to the Lord,
through the commitment of the heart, mind, and whole person. We are
always to be "yea-sayers" in our acceptance of God's Will in our
lives. Indeed, we are to be willing in our acceptance of the
circumstances of suffering and challenge that He either allows or
directly wills. And the famous Serenity Prayer is of great help
here:"to change what we can, and to accept what we cannot; and to beg
God in His Wisdom to know the difference."

And what wonderful food for thought in Christ calling us both "salt"
and "light". Question: "How am I salt and how am I light to the
micro-world of family, friends, and workplace into which the Lord has
placed us?" Indeed, serious food for thought this day. Amen.
