A Reflection on Today's Scripture:
Often, in our struggles to follow God's will, and finding much
criticism from various directions, we can feel very lonely and
unappreciated. In times like these, it is good to remember the
presence of our Guardian Angel, whom God appointed to be our support
and our guide. In times of discouragement, call on your Guardian
Angel, beg for his special attention to your needs, and be comforted
by his being near.
Remember, too, that the Angels of God are particularly close to the
children and those who are child-like. They must find it hard to
support us when we are proud and self-sufficient. When we are most
aware of our weakness and vulnerability, then are they most alert to
help.
Angel of God, my Guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.
