A Reflection on Today's Scripture:

Jesus, Son of David, Have Mercy on Me! (Luke 18:39)

We are all born blind. We are all beggars sitting by the side of the
road. But more often than not, we do not reach out to the crowd. We
do not ask Who is passing by. We do not pay attention, but instead
too often turn inward in our blindness.

Call out! Cry out! Say, "Jesus, Son of David, Have Mercy on Me!" And
Jesus will turn to you and say, "What would you have me do?" When He
asks, be ready to answer. What is the answer? What should we ask of
Him?

"Jesus, make me a servant of your will. Make me obedient to Your
love. Make me a sign of Your presence here on Earth." Only in this
way will you be made whole. Even in our blindness we are made whole.
We can love Jesus and become whole for Him and in Him.
