Dear readers and subscribers, According to Austin Ruse, the president of Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute, "it seems clear by the initial speeches at the UN last week that the Member States will not consider a total ban on cloning, but instead will only ban what is known as human reproductive cloning. The UN will therefore leave open the door for the creation of human embryos for experimental purposes. Advocates in the United States refer to this procedure as 'clone and kill.' Because of its Nazi past, the German government is generally good on this issue, but will likely be hobbled by the rest of the European Union."
