Friday of the Second Week of Lent, 02/29/02 Dear Meditation Readers, How is your Lent coming along? Periodically, I seem to have the joyful mind-bending experience of tripping over a book or an article written by Fr. George Rutler, a diocesan priest from mid-Manhattan. His latest piece, "Why We Need Lent" is available through the kindness of PetersNet, a subscription-based site that I occasionally scurry through somewhere between web publishing and earning my own daily bread. Most of us on the web probably think that the internet is a free ride - except for the ISP part. This may be true for the publication of some sites, but for those who totally dedicate their lives to what they do, some sort of remuneration is necessary.
