A Reflection on today's Holy Scripture . . .

The message for all of us today is an affirmation that our Lord Jesus
rose from the dead. When we think about what Jesus endured for us, so
that we might have eternal life, we know how much he loves us. Imagine
how you would feel if someone told you that one of your loved ones was
alive and waiting for you, to join them in a meal, they prepared for
you! Jesus, after dying for us, has resurrected from the dead and is
joining His disciples, assuring them that He indeed has risen from the
dead! What better way, then, to feed them.

The Gospel tells us that Jesus' call is universal, that He wants us to
live in unity, and that we should share our call with others. The
renewed fervor that abides in us after the wonderful Triduum experience,
will allow each us to go forth proclaiming the Gospel, each in our own
way. This doesn't mean we must speak from a pulpit; it means that each
of us has been given our own gifts, our own faith and our own way to
spread the word of Jesus Christ. The life of Jesus in us does not remain
just a personal and interior thing; it wells up within us and must be
expressed to others.

         Dearest Jesus,
allow me the grace and energy
to spread your good news to others.
With the help of the Holy Spirit,
embolden me to speak to others about your love, your peace,
         and your kingdom. Amen!
