This Gospel of John spoke to me that it was now time to search my heart and soul to find what was expected of Jesus' followers. The story of feeding of the 5000, on this Easter weekday, was certainly meant for us to take some action. Was it to feed the hungry? To speak the Word to the spiritually hungry? Or to remind us of our Christian duty to care for others. Whatever your heart dictates after you pray, be reminded of the obligations we all have who are baptized in Christ Jesus. The apostles, who were released by the Sanhedrin, after being whipped, were full of joy that they had been punished and showed no fear. The psalm assures us we have nothing to fear, Alleluia. Mass attendance is back to normal; with just the "faithful" attending daily and weekly Mass. Where are the people who overflowed our churches for the Triduum? Perhaps this is where we should start our action, inviting our brothers and sisters to attend Mass and communion more often. The Bread of Life, our Lord Jesus, will fill you to overflowing, putting His own words in your mouth! Please Lord, allow me to know your desire for my mission today.
