Andrea,

I know, that's what the guy who owns the kennel/grooming said too but I
am not allergic to anything and otherwise absolutely healthy as a horse .
I noticed afterwards that the girls ( they rotated twice a day ) at the
reception desk were kind of hacking like smoker's cough once in a while
too. So I asked about it and two of them had problems with it as well,
they were fine when it was turned off. Yes, it does eliminate odors, to a
large degree. Maybe it was turned up too high. I just know that I had to
go outside and take a deep breath after being in there because it
restricted my lung capacity.

Please don't think I am knocking Alpine, this is just from my own
experience and I wondered about the toxicity factor since I know I read
that in my Holistic literature somewhere ...thought someone else might
have seen it too. The fact that we are just now doing studies to
determine the buildup of toxicity due to pesticides just illustrates the
need to be careful about believing everything a salesman tells us. Having
been a groomer for thirty years I would be one of those affected via dips
and flea sprays. I am just more careful these days, that's all. C.
