Hello everyone...I have to tell you all that hunting season is officially
open in Canada....... for those of you that live in this area, Please be
aware that your furbabys could be in danger..
A few years back, I had a call from a lady who had lost her fawn. This baby
just up and disappeared one day.
She was very distraught, telling me how her baby had disappeared, and was
looking finally to get another Dane, but this time she wanted to get a
Harl...as this telephone conversation, (interview) took place, she happened
to mention, that she lived on a Farm, and had 40 acres to accommodate, one
of my babies...as the conversation went on we had started to talk about
careless hunters, as at that time it was the season, for Deer Hunting...she
had said that a careless hunter was aiming to take down a deer, and this
bullet had come through her kitchen window...well it didn't take a scientist
to figure out what had happened to her dog, as she did say she let him have
free run of the whole 40 acres...ever sense this interview, I have tried to
tell as many people as possible this story..... so please be
aware...accidents do happen, and its very easy for a anxious hunter to
mistake one of our babies as a Deer....
Please be outside with them this week, even put protective Orange vests, or
bright collars, or something on them that can distinguish that they are not
Deer....
