ED here....I'm getting quite a few questions on the procedure for signing
up, so here are the instructions again. Also, while you're in the holiday
mood, please sign up for the Christmas Card list. Just go to
http://www.danebytes.com and go into the members directory. After you
enter the user name and password there is a new button for Christmas Card
List.

Let me know if you have questions

Its Secret Santa Time Again

Can you believe? The holiday season is right around the corner. To increase
fellowship and spread joy, I have volunteered to organize our wonderful
group into orderly and cheerful Secret Santas. This is a non-denominational,
all-inclusive, strictly volunteer db event. You dont need to participate
unless you want to, but it sure is a lot of fun if you are interested.

Here is how it works. You simply click on this address:

http://formmail.to/SecretSanta

fill it out and hit"send form". I assign your name to someone else who
agrees to send your Dane/s a gaily wrapped token of friendship and cheer. I
assign you someone elses name, and you agree to send that persons Dane/s
a similarly thoughtful gift. Well open them together online, and share
some holiday spirit.

Some ground rules:

1. The gifts should be thoughtful tokens. There is no need to spend a lot of
money. The thought is what counts here, not price. No mm. or max. $ limit
is being set. Please just choose it carefully, wrap it prettily, and ship
it to the correct address, postage
prepaid, and on-time.

2. Gifts must be shipped by December 1, 1999. Earlier is fine. For you
procrastinators, that is one month from now.

3. We will open them/give them to the Danes online together on Thursday,
December 16, 1999, in the db chatroom at 9:30 p.m. EST, 8:30 CST, 7:30 MST,
and 6:30 PST. If this is not convenient, Im open for suggestions for
mutually convenient times from our members in other time zones.

4. There is no deadline to participate. Ill accept and assign names for as
long as I get them. The shipping deadline stands firm, however, no matter
how late you wait to sign up.

5. We are fortunate to have db members from all over the world. The
opportunity for international fellowship is fabulous, but please keep in
mind that shipping overseas can be pricey.

6. Please dont ask to be assigned to a specific person.

7. No griping about to whom you have been assigned.

8. Remember, Im a db volunteer Santa helper. Treat me kindly.

Are you still with me? Oh goody. To participate, then, go to this site :

fill out the form and click "send form"
