Pat, I will lay odds that you have a new dane soon!! That is the one
reason I cannot volunteer at our shelter - I know I could not leave
one there.
So I am doing the next best thing. I am a member of my County's
Animal Regulation Board.
The man who lives in the house behind my property is a PETA member and
runs one of the State's largest no-kill shelter, We have butted heads
already (He knows I am planning a litter for next year. I have made
him fully aware that I keep up will all 4 of my living dane babies and
the 4 living grandbabies! I flew home with 2 people who had my
grandbabies from the Nationals that is how close I am to my danes!
You have no idea how nuts I get about my offspring! VBG).
Anyhow he got a dane in his shelter and I about went nuts; I was ready
to go grab her (she was in season and that is what stopped me!).
Anyhow I called our Great Dane rescue group and they had a family
emergency and could not foster her. I guess I sounded so upset
(believe me I was) they finally found someone to foster her. She is
very young and nice and I believe she has found a home (thank
goodness!!).
Enough of my ramblings have fun and good luck!
