Chicken meal is from the same source as the
chicken....antibiotic free, only human grade meal.
Beats me WHY.

Barley, rice and oat hulls......
geeeez....at least it ain't corn, beet pulp, wheat, or middlins.

Chicken fat...is added as opposed to animal fats, which is an
unknown source.

<<I wonder about the wide
range of ingredients that can fall under a catagory*>>

.....i can see where one could.....except....these folks
carry the INVOICES for the ingredients they buy, with them
at dog shows.....and they are quite open and free about
letting folks SEE what goes in....and where they get it from.

They pride themselves on the ingredients all being human grade,
tho.....who the hell eats oat hulls and chicken fat?
On the other hand....something has to hold it all together.

Furthermore.....the food is so dense, that i feed only 1 cup a meal
to ladyR, and 1 3/4 cup to active Oreo. As opposed to the 6 cups
a day previously.

For me...the proof was in the POOP......prior to feeding this way,
my girls did big dumps....6 or 7 7'' long turds, twice a day.

Now....we get 1 4'' turd a day.

Another salient factor for me was / is their skin ! And coat !
We have no itchys...no nothing.

And....i no longer have to beg ladyR to eat....but that is more than likely
due to her never knowing what is going to be in that bowl....yes....
the 1 cup kibble...but everything else (whatever i have on hand) is a
surprise! And because she is not being overfed...she is always ready
for mealtime.

Also.....when we started on this food....ladyR was 178 lbs.....she is now
134. Oreo was 150, now 135.

Also....on ProPlan and RAW meat....her bloating lessened to once or
twice a month..... on BIS & meat ....not one bloat since we started !

No more upset tummy...no more vomitting...no more diarrhea,
no more mucous poops!

I guess you can see by now WHY i like this BIS.

On the other hand......i guess i should not attribute ALL of the above
just to BIS.....i also added raw veggies.....quadrupled the dose of
daily FASTRACK....added digestive enzymes.

We all have to do what we feel and see is best for our Danes.....
